I was reading an animal rights board the other day and the people were
bickering over whether animals undergoing surgery felt pain or not (i guess
they don't know that anesthesia was invented like 200 yrs ago)... anyway
they kept saying the animals "going under the scallop" and getting "cut up
by the scallop", and they were serious, and I'm sorry but I just CANNOT
take
any person seriously when they use a fish name in place of a surgical
instrument and don't even realize how stupid they sound. |
