Does anyone know if someone is working on (or has completed) a Linux clone
of Windows Media Connect? I have my eye on a networked A/V Receiver whihc
requires Media Connect to stream digital content ove rthe LAN, but it
requires Windows Media Connect to be running on one of the connectec PCs.
I'd *MUCH* rather spool the content from one of my Linux servers. I know
the whole DRM wasteland is one big quagmire, but it seems to me if someone
was enterprising enough to write SAMBA, then someone else might be
enterprising enough to write a Linux clone of WMC.

Personally, Mythtv and a couple of pvr150's have been doing quite nicely
