I don't understand this lamp. The bulb is under the figure's
middle, with no space for a standard candelabra bulb....and the
cord comes out the front? The candelabra bulbs I'm familiar
with, and use, are tall and pointy. I see only a lily-pad
shaped socket.
Maybe I'm seeing it wrong?
(I'm not sure how you can tell that's an original cord
and socket - that style is still made.)
How about some close-ups of the socket, the inner part of
the plug, and the base of this lamp. Any markings? |

"art nouveaux....circa 1920"
vs.
"ART NOUVEAU STYLE"
I've got a couple of bucks to bet on STYLE.

art nouveaux....circa 1920....at 22" inches tall, it is an unusual size.
May be one of a pair. |

A few months ago I saw a little display of very similar stuff.
I stopped dead... and scratched my head like a monkey.
Finally figured it must be new.
It was behind glass, it took me a minute. ;)
Thanks, Mike.

Wait... there are a couple of undamaged brain cells rubbing up against
each other.
1980's. Late 80's.
Yep.

I will donate my winnings to the "Depends Geriatric Foundation for Retired

I'm heavy on the style, I've never seen this one before and I've been in
the business since the early 60's.
Some things you have to examine, things like new " Old Cords & Plugs "
are readily available. Some look
pretty good, but were made last year eg this piece
