Is anyone here familiar with the music and able to write about it. I
know the plot and am aware of the available recordings. It's the music
that I need some opinions about. Thanks.

I listened to the work many, many years ago. I recall that my reaction
was - so-so/not bad, but not a great piece. As to be expected, lots of
Gioconda throughout. Sorry could not be of more help!

But of infinitely more help than can be found at the soon-to-be
vaunted BRMOOOOO/ancona Roach Motel of Trolls, where its 'leading'
participants 'know' the notes, but never the music.

Best,
LT
