I have recently placed a video of my new discus arrivals, which I thought
were younger than they are, with their first spawn!!

Unfortunately 2.5 days into the wriggler stage, they were eaten by the
parents, but then, they are in a community tank with the rams, tetras and
other discus. You can follow the full set up at my homepage.

Discus can eat there fry quite a few times before the penny drops, and they
realise they are supposed to rear them instead.

But on the odd occation though, you can have a rouge discus that will just
eat the fry or refuse to look after them all the time. Even an over jelious
male wanting to breed all the time be a problem fish.
