I'm sorry, was there an actual question there? Would it be too
difficult for you to actually ask the question that you have, in
words, rather than posting this one-word question that means nothing

The adjective "rare" can mean "uncommon," "thin" (as in "rare" air) or
"underdone." Some people will object to my saying "underdone"; I
probably should have said "nearly raw" or "bloody" or something like
that.
I'm not a fan of "rare" meat (and think it should be avoided), but we've
had this discussion before and no one has come around to my way of
thinking.

Please avoid steak restaurants in The Netherlands.
There, they think meat is well-done when it has been in the presence of a
candle, at a distance of a foot, for a minute. |

For which they are to be commended....
Someone really needs to have a word with them, though, about this business of
steeping licorice in brine....r

It's not the brine you need to worry about, it's the NH4Cl.
'Drop' I think they call them. Here in Finland, we use a
name corrupted from the latin - salmiakki, (Sal Ammoniac)
Quite why wikipedia thinks these yummy sweets should be
treated as follows:

Ingestion Induce vomiting. If victim is conscious and alert,
give 2-4 cupfuls of milk or water.Seek medical help

Industry jargon for the "rarest" meat would appear to be "blue".

I've tasted Finnish lakritsi, it was weird to encounter a salty taste but it
seemed like perfectly ordinary NaCl to me. Isn't NH4Cl (aka ammonium
chloride aka sal volatile) somewhat poisonous?
(I was on holiday in Finland for a week back in May 1997, staying at Vääksy
near Asikkala. Minä puhun suomen kieltä vähän.)
