Golfers,
Our group plays throughout the winter. We usually tee off around 09:30
and 10:00. As long as there is no frost on the greens they let us out.
In really cold weather, most of the guys ride, but some still walk.
Clothing in winter goes from stocking caps, gloves, and windbreakers
to wind suits. Almost everyone wears corduroy pants. Who knows what's
underneath. One guy admitted to wearing panty hose. Many of the guys
carry those hand warmers. The little packets that get hot when ya
squeeze them. I hate to think what's in the golf bag besides clubs.
I've seen everything from peppermint schnapps to I.W. Harper. Flavored
brandy, apricot, peach and blackberry, are a big favorite. The funny
thing is, not many handicaps go down during the winter. Do ya suppose
that peppermint schnapps is causing a miscalulation on the score card?

In real cold weather, I especially want to walk. Riding can get
cold.
But living in Colorado, it's not the temperature I watch. If it's
sunny in the winter, I'm comfortable, and we get a lot of sun.
