Slow-scoring decided ODIs...

Here is a list of decided Limited-overs International matches in the
both sides combined to score at the rate of 2.70 or fewer runs per 6-
ball over. The scoring rates are in the first column. The totals/ball
received are in the parentheses.

Was this the WCup game where Australia deliberated batted slowly in an
attempt to manipulate their opponent's (presumably WI) NRR to rise
above another team's NRR (NZ?), so that said opponent (WI) would go
through, but the other team (NZ again?) would not go through to the
next round? And WI foiled the plan by bowling 4 wides or some such?

Yes. I think other than this game, the rest were not contrived. SRW
and Bevan knocked off the 12 runs in 19 ovs or vice versa.

Surprising the Arnos Vale game finds mention here...what were England
thinking while Croft was running amok? Someone should have hit out to
get closer to that 127.

NZ 115-7 it is in the Perth odo.
