His opponent will likely be Hector Camacho Jr.

What a trio to first lose to however:
Trinidad, DLH and Mosley!

I saw him in LA at the Nokia Centre - was shooting the Israel Vasquez fight.
He has got a hell of a load of weight to lose if he is to make a comeback

I have never been a big Vargas fan, but then again I don't wish anyone
lasting injury.
Camacho Jr is a decent fight though - he does not punch hard and isn't
all that. Anyone that can't put away Campas at this stage is unlikely
to cause much lasting damage to Vargas. Who hopefully will invest the
money conservatively and *not* fight anyone with a real punch after.
Even if he beats Camacho (which I would not entirely eliminate as a
possible outcome).

Some reports say he's around 250 lbs.
The only good part about this is that he'll have to drop 100 lbs of
blubber by hitting the gym and cutting back on the booze. |

And before his first loss he had a nice run where he won consecutive
bouts against Raul Marquez, Winky Wright and Ike Quartey. |

Vargas has never invested wisely or conservatively - just
spent.

---------
Wow - 250lbs! He is 5 lb lighter than me!
(my fight weight was 235 though, not that it makes much odds now).
You're right though, should he train properly, he will be much better for
it.
