Alonso to Madrid

Havent seen play at all.

Quote:
Ibra to Barca

Leads Liga in scoring, so success.

Quote:
Etoo to Inter

5 goals in 11 games for the league leaders. I'd say OKish.

Quote:
Sneijder to Inter

No idea.

Quote:
Huntelaar to Milan

All stats indicate failure.

Quote:
Aquilani to Liverpool

Why would you ask such an odd question when you already know the
answer?

Quote:
Owen to United

Negligible.

Quote:
Tevez to City

Negligible.

Quote:
Adebayor to City

Success.

Quote:
Crouch to Spurs

He's been a fine addition.

Quote:
Johnson to Liverpool

Overall positive.

Quote:
Barry to City

Success

Quote:
Toure to City

Done well.

Quote:
Melo to Juventus

Only saw him in his first league game, he was sensational.

Quote:
Robben to Bayern

No idea.

Ibra to Barca

Questionable start. Fine now.

Quote:
Etoo to Inter

Great, based on stats, highlights, and having seen once.

Quote:
Aquilani to Liverpool

Too early to tell.

Quote:
Owen to United

A good signing. Hasn't dazzled. Hasn't been expected to.

Quote:
Tevez to City

I used to like him.

Quote:
Adebayor to City

He's done well.

Quote:
Crouch to Spurs

Decent. I always seem to dump him in Fantasy ball the week ahead of a
good match for him.

Quote:
Johnson to Liverpool

You've definitely needed him there!

Quote:
Barry to City

Fine. With the exception of Tevez, the City transfers you've listed
have done well.
Quote:
Toure to City

Yup.

Vermaelen to Arsenal:

Great addition!

Alonso to Madrid

Can't say. Not as influential/important as Ronaldo and Kaka. In fact,
Cristiano being there eclipsed the effect of everyone else while he
was playing.

Quote:
Ibra to Barca
Etoo to Inter

Success. (for Eto'o, I am going just by the stats. I have only seen
Inter once)

Quote:
Sneijder to Inter

Okay/good, I think. I have only seen him once but, he has been
involved in a 5-6 goals from what I recall and Inter is clearly not
suffering from his inclusion.

Quote:
Huntelaar to Milan

No idea. I saw Milan play twice this season (and once more in the
CL) and I don't remember actually seeing him do anything.

Quote:
Aquilani to Liverpool

You tell me.

Quote:
Owen to United

Meets expectations. I expected him to give us an option from the
bench and he has done that. I wish he had a better conversion rate,
e.g. the chance this past weekend after Obertan+Nani set him up,
but teams that get people on the free can't be choosers.

Quote:
Tevez to City

Disappointing. I still like him, despite the way he left us and the
things he said. I thought it was a bad move for him then, and I've
seen nothing to change my opinion so far.

Quote:
Adebayor to City

Success. Big fish in an expanding pond. What Tevez thought he'd
become.

Quote:
Crouch to Spurs

Good for Spurs. Decent in the league, good in the cup. But, has
it been good for Crouch? I don't know.

Quote:
Johnson to Liverpool

He's been good for you, but is this what you needed? I am not
sure how to rate him.

Quote:
Barry to City
Toure to City

Too early to tell.

Quote:
Melo to Juventus

Don't know.

Quote:
Robben to Bayern

Yesish.

Quote:
Coaches:

Magath to Shalke
Van Gaal to Bayern

I'll give them the season before commenting.

Haven't seen him enough to judge

Quote:
Ibra to Barca

Looks good so far. Has been scoring.

Quote:
Etoo to Inter

Again, the goals have come.

Quote:
Sneijder to Inter

Don't know.

Quote:
Huntelaar to Milan

FLop so far.

Quote:
Aquilani to Liverpool

Half a game in the Carling cup is not much to go on.

Quote:
Owen to United

Well, he didn't cost anything and has given them some minutes and a goal.

Quote:
Tevez to City

Blah

Quote:
Adebayor to City

Blah

Quote:
Crouch to Spurs

OK

Quote:
Johnson to Liverpool

Not worth the money so far. I liked FInnan better.

Quote:
Barry to City

OK

Quote:
Toure to City
Melo to Juventus
Robben to Bayern

has been super when fit, apparently.

Quote:

Coaches:

Magath to Shalke

Magath is an astute guy. He did well with Stuttgart, very well initially
with Bayern, and brought Wolfsburg a title. Now, with a Schalke team
that is a lot more bankrupt than he was led to believe, and no really
big signings to start the year, he has them within a few points of the
top of the table. Strong.

Quote:
Van Gaal to Bayern

Disappointing so far.

How'd you grade them so far?

Alonso to Madrid

His usual mediocre self.

Quote:
Ibra to Barca

Has outshone even Messi. La Liga's best player.

Quote:
Etoo to Inter

Hasn't taken the league by storm but a good start nonetheless.

Quote:
Sneijder to Inter

Awesome.

Quote:
Huntelaar to Milan

Terrible. Short on confidence. Too static.

Quote:
Aquilani to Liverpool

n/a.

Quote:
Owen to United

As expected. The odd goal, lots of misses. Maintains his usual mediocre
standards.

Quote:
Tevez to City

As expected. Does a lot of running and harrying and little else.

Quote:
Adebayor to City

Great start has been AWOL since the ban.

Quote:
Crouch to Spurs

Ok.

Quote:
Johnson to Liverpool

Great start until the recent losses.

Quote:
Barry to City

Great in the first few weeks.

Quote:
Toure to City

Ok.

Quote:
Melo to Juventus

Tremendous, when fit.

Quote:
Robben to Bayern

As above.

Quote:
Coaches:

Van Gaal to Bayern

Not much of an improvement on Klinsmann.

Alonso to Madrid

He's been pretty good for them. Not stellar but then he never is, for
anyone. But RM has structural problems that doesn't necessarily begin
or end with Alonso. They are simply not a proper team yet.

Quote:
Ibra to Barca

Goalscoring record speaks for itself and he's fitted in just nicely in
general.

Quote:
Etoo to Inter

He's been okay. Will get better.

Quote:
Sneijder to Inter

Up and down but he's a good addition to their squad. Galliani was an
idiot for not working him into the Kaka deal.

Quote:
Huntelaar to Milan

Another mistake by Galliani. He's not performed well, at all. And to
think that Galliani actually gave cash up for this guy, and not worked
him into the Kaka deal? Priceless.

Quote:
Aquilani to Liverpool

Has he played yet?

Quote:
Owen to United

Haven't seen him or them much.

Quote:
Tevez to City

Haven't seen a lot of them lately ( too busy watching leagues with
better football on offer), but he seemed to play well in the early
part of the season.

Quote:
Adebayor to City

ditto

Quote:
Crouch to Spurs

Ditto

Johnson to Liverpool

Good but also a liability. His defensive work needs a lot of fine
tuning.

Quote:
Barry to City

Same as the other City boys

Quote:
Toure to City

He's always solid enough
Quote:
Melo to Juventus

Superb. He was one of the best midfielders in Serie A last season and
is carrying on where he left off.

Quote:
Robben to Bayern

He was great against Lyon until he broke down, as is his wont.

So, so. But, as I said in my answer to the OP, Madrid's problems are
structural, i.e. they don't play as unit, and rely on flashes of good
play. It's enough to get results but I wouldn't pay money to seem.

Quote:
cron to madrid

He scored a lot of goals but general play hasn't been nearly as good
as that record might suggest. Again, the team or lack of, is the
problem.
Quote:
benz to madrid

One thing is for sure, he ain't the second coming of Ronaldo.

Quote:
coaches

pell to madrid

Hasn't made a team of the Galacticos mach: 2, but then again, I don't
know if anyone can in this short time frame. He's default formation is
a 4-4-2 whose idea is to fit in as many big names as possible but that
system gives opposition plenty of counter play as well. I think RM
have played much better with a narrower midfield diamond when Guti and
that bearded dude has been playing.
