News today that a folk singer out west was attacked by coyotes, and
eventually died. Made me think, boy, what can you do if attacked by
coyotes? Would human combat training help at all? Probably just a
tiny bit, but effectiveness is probably limited by the fact that
predatorial animals don't move like human opponents at all. Since
coyotes are on all fours, probably low fast kicks like in Muay Thai
would be more effective. Not sure how much punches would help --.
being snoutish, you would probably end up punching a coyote in the
teeth and hurt your hand. This might discourage further brashness on
the part of the coyote, but might not completely convince it to
leave. And if there were a bunch of them, I can't even speculate. |

Unarmed best option is to choke it out if there is just one. In a pack picking
one up and using it as a club is probably going to be your best measure.

Niether was the couple attacked and killed by a pack of feral dogs in
Missippi. You have a point? |

if you can kick well. I've seen highly trained police dogs cower after
getting a couple of big head kicks from a nasty perp. You don't have to KO
the dog, just intimidate it. Depends on the breed of dog, too. If it's a
pit-bull, forget trying to kick it; total waste of effort; you can't hurt
it and you can't intimidate it.
Maybe you have retarded dogs down-under, but our dogs around here
smarter than your average Aussie raver for sure.
Actually, we have the smartest dogs on the planet....the ravers I can't vouch
for ;>)
Loads of smart ravers. I know more than one with a Phd. : )

PS Some of them are seriously hot too. |

Point? Sure: I can help you.
Really how?
You asked the question above, "Was he a
city boy?"....
Which you did not answer. Do you know what a day pack is?
Maybe your American english is difficult to understand for me, so I'm
not going to upset about it. But it sounded to me like a simple question
to which a simple answer was required. Since you did not understand
my answer, apparently, and I must have miunderstood your question: so as
of now I have no idea now what you meant either then or now.
