Welcome. Please understand that this is USENET and unmoderated so
there is a wide variety of discussions/opinion. Over time you be
able to separate the wheat from the chaff. :)

Not much of an introduction so far Mike ... are you a runner?
Why don't you tell us something about yourself and why you joined the
group perhaps? |

Hi Mike, I'm Eddie, are you a new runner? If so, I'm also fairly new,
only 1 year and 9 months old. There is a lot of information and
practical advice that can be gained by reading other people's
experiences up here, some of it's unique to the individual some of it is
broadly applicable. I usually try to sit on the sidelines and just read
or once and a while ask a question unless I feel the need to be sarcastic.
If you're still a caterpillar a good thing to do before you start taking
every bodies advice is to read some decent running books and then ask
more specific questions here. In this fashion as Doug and the good book
put it you can separate the wheat from the chaff.
If you're a butterfly enjoy yourself on here and welcome to rec.running.
