I couldn't resist checking out my new anti-virus stuff.  I see no
virus - just annoyance.

Oh, good.  Thanks for the verification.  It sounded more serious than
that according to Splash.

Jeannie
better safe than sorry

For what is worth virus scans as suggested show no virus. It's just a
damned annoying website that you can't get out of once you click on it
without turning your computer off!

Then again.....I won't email anyone til my BIL (our computer expert)
checks things out. Not sure I trust him more than my 16 yr old
resident expert but better safe than sorry.

My 16 year old is only mildly offended. Mostly he thinks I got
scammed into thinking it's viral......

Ctrl/Alt/Del wouldn't close it?

Senior moment? I didn't think to try that. Kinda panicked because my
son was asleep.

It's very, very sad Hunter but I actually don't know much about
operating my TV's remote control either? My 16 year old despairs for
me when he leaves for university. I actually think I have something
of a handle on the remote but I'm screwed when it comes to playing
DVDs! I can watch them but can't figure out how to turn off the
subtitles/close captioning.

Sad, sad story from today: I came out of work to discover I had a
dead car battery. Called my sister who had given her jumper cables to
her son several provinces away. Called my 82 year old mother who had
cables. I got my sister to pick up my mother's cables and meet me at
my car. My sister wanted to know HOW we were going to do this. I
assured her I had printed off instructions from the internet!!! We
could do this. DANGNAMIT! No joy! Finally had to ask security to
help us. I SWEAR it will NEVER happen again but apparently my battery
(thingy's??) were so corroded they needed to be cleaned. I swear we
did everything else right!!!

Sometimes life just sucks and most of the times you learn a lesson. I
totally am usually on top of my car. Today was just a lesson. I'll
never forget.

But when it comes to the TV or the internet I totally lack confidence.

It can't be just me? Hunter there MUST be something you lack
brilliance in? Or maybe not?

I'm planning on attempting to replace my toilet wax seal this
weekend. Are you available? I have visions of plumbers in my
future. Arrgh!

Once years ago, I had a beautiful 1969 Mustang. I got in it one
morning to take my daughter to nursery school and it wouldn't start.
It wouldn't even try to start.... no wrrr, wrrr nothing.

I ran over to my neighbor and borrowed her car and took kid to school.

She said to wait til her husband got home he'd look at it.

I borrowed her car again to pick kid up from school.

Her husband came home and got into my Mustang to try to start it.

He looked around, out it in PARK!!! and it started right up <g>

Oops.... I've had my moments :D
