I read a riveting book decades ago that had individual small chapters
on great female opera singers ( at least I don't recall men in it)
subdivided by type such as 1. The Big Voices, 2. The Great Singing
Actresses, and other things like Coloraturas and Verdi Singers. It was
where I first became familiar with such singers as Gertrude Grob
Prandl and Eva Turner. Does this book ring a bell with anyone. I
thought I got it at my library, but can't seem to find any such book
currently.
