This is the Bay Area Country Dance Society schedule for the
week of Monday, October 26, 2009.
BACDS sponsors English and American traditional dances in the
San Francisco Bay Area.
This is fun, relatively easy, community-oriented dancing with
live music. All dances are taught, no partner is necessary,
and first-timers are welcome unless otherwise noted.
Admission prices:
Supporter: $15
Regular: $10 on Friday/Saturday/Sunday, $9 on weeknights
Member Discount: $2 from regular prices
Student/Low-income: $5
or pay what you can.
Please wear clean shoes with non-marking soles.

BIG NEWS ABOUT THE HALLOWEEN CONTRA

The Halloween Contra is on Halloween, October 31, at the usual Palo Alto
contra location, First United Methodist Church at Hamilton and Webster in
Palo Alto, and features Swing Farm (Ray Bierl, Charlie Hancock, Steven Strauss)
with Special Ghost callers including up-and-comers Robin Steen and Tom Lehmann
as well as Jim Saxe and Eric Black.
The big news:
With the support of the BACDS Board, we've decided to add some awesome and
remove some expense.
MORE AWESOME
After the 8:00 - 11:00 contra dance with Swing Farm (which will feature a
multi-caller medley after the break), there'll be couple dancing with William
Allend and Friends (Stan & Susan Kramer, Craig Martin), for your waltz / polka
/ tango/ schottisching pleasure on until midnight.
LESS COST
Despite what the flyer says, the door prices will be
$10 for BACDS members, $12 for non-members, $6 for students.
EVEN LESS COST
Print out this email and bring it to the contra to get $2 off these
already low prices ($8 for members, $10 for non-members, $4 for students).
