Damn, guess I read that too quickly, was thinking "making" one, not
having one.......

Dude, if YOU can have one in the front or back seat, I want to read
about it. Probably in NOTW.

I think the driving during would not be the issue. ;-)

Good thing carrying knives to school is also illegal.

Didn't use to be... And no one ever got stabbed... Probably a bit difficult
for the leftists to believe... Then again, during hunting season, we
usually had shotguns or rifles in our pickup in the school parking lot and
no one ever got shot...

Had a cop tell me that it's now illegal to have an ax handle in your
gun rack on school grounds.

Unless it has an ax head on it.

Go figure. Like I say. "It's the law, it doesn't have to make sense"

That's not what he said.

Another perfect example of Greg's panacea of cops being the only people in
society allowed to have guns;

At least he was dismissed from his post.

A "perfect" example, except you have to stretch to include cops in
Russia. I sure hope we give stronger psych evals to American cops
before we give them guns.

Here's the Russian cops' response, per your article: "Amazingly armed
cops that turned up refused to arrest their colleague - saying he was
drunk and had family problems and was not responsible for his
actions. Moscow police spokesman General Vladimir Poronin said: "In
this case we can understand this man's actions because he has had
major family problems and was a little drunk, so he wasn't really in
charge of what he was doing."

I suggest you take your guns over to Russia where they're clearly
needed and you can vigilante around there all you want. Cheap vodka
too!

In the meantime, the USA is the same as always with every wacko in
possession of a gun:

"A Brooklyn Center woman was charged today with shooting a man in the
chest following an argument outside an apartment complex Monday
morning. Simoreaa Mercedes Garrett, 22, was charged in Hennepin County
District Court with first and second-degree assault for allegedly
shooting the man during a confrontation that began with a fight
between Garret and the victim's girlfriend."

"A 16-year-old boy has been arrested in connection with a double
shooting in Weld County Wednesday evening, which was reportedly
sparked by a fight over a pit bull. Weld County Sheriff's Office
spokeswoman Margie Martinez said a 16-year-old is in custody, but
deputies are searching for a second suspect in the case, 51-year-old
Jose Rodriguez. The shooting left a man dead and a woman wounded, the
result of a simmering dispute involving a pit bull chasing livestock,
the Sheriff's Office said."

Where I grew up, if a dog was chasing your livestock, he was fair game for
a bit of lead poisoning... Of course, you never knew if the dog had died
since the body didn't exactly show up on your door step... You were left to
guess as to whether the dog just didn't come home, got run over, or was
killed by someone protecting their livestock... We didn't let our dogs run
loose and any dog that was on our property was fair game for a bit of
target practice if it was after the cows or calves... If it went after the
bull, the problem pretty much took care of itself rather quickly...
