In his post-match interview, asked about a stone-wall penalty his team
was denied (and some others), he flatly refuses to have a pop at the
referee, saying that they've got the hardest job in the world and that
any mistakes they make are made honestly with no intent of harm.

I respect that.

Yes. Ferguson, Rafa, and even our favorite Alsatian should follow his
example.

Maybe he should have added something like because their job is so
hard, they ought to be helped by technology.
I guess Fergie and Wenger point out gross mistakes but don't blame the
refs for them. They even spoke out in favor of video help. I think in
the current circumstances that's a little bit more useful than the "no
comment" attitude.

Yes, I'm sure when Wenger called that linesman in the Carling Cup a
few years back a "liar" he was really intending to say, "He's really
blameless, and only lacks for a gadget rigged up to his crotch that
delivers a shock to his genitals whenever he fibs." And when Fergie
called Alan Wiley "unfit" recently, he really meant to say that
instead of old-fashioned stationary bikes and treadmills in the ref's
locker room, they really ought to have hi-tech elliptical machines.

Well, if he does it every few years it's not that big a problem I
guess.
Anyway, I don't know about the incident but "liar" hardly seems to
relate to a game decision.

That wasn't a very nice thing for him to say indeed. I don't know
about that game so I cannot judge whether Wiley really missed some (or
maybe many) important decisions for not being at the right place.

Anyway, my point is still valid even if Fergie and Wenger sometimes
talk too much.
