Winner - USD 2.5 million
Runner-up - USD 1.3 million
Losing semi-finalists - USD 0.5 million each

Another 1.2 million distributed among the remaining eight teams.

Not a bad pick up for winning 2/5 games.

Wonder how the money will be distributed within the team and admin

The prize money at international / first class domestic level
(probably even in age group level) is not distributed within the
team...at least I am not aware of it.

You're unaware then. At least as far as Oz teams traditionally do it.

Thought: In a way though I hope that you're correct. It'd silence Mohan's
feeble bleat about how the non-IPL sides are winning in the CL due to their
greater hunger for the loot. That'd be a hoot.

It would be, but it isn't. Half the prize money goes to the
association, the other half to the players.

''The money is mind-boggling,'' Gilbert told the Herald from Hyderabad
last night. ''So far, so good, but there's still a lot of resolve in
the team to go all the way. The money is incredibly lucrative, and no
one is denying that.

''For the players, especially some of the lesser lights, it's the
chance to have a real windfall.

Gilbert and the Blues camp are understandably cock-a-hoop, with
tournament regulations stating the loot must be split 50-50 between
the players and their governing body.

''This next game, in isolation, there's nearly $1¼ million difference
in the prizemoney,'' Gilbert said. ''There's been no complaints from
the players that the state body is taking half of whatever we win.
That's been in the rules from the start.

The prize money at international / first class domestic level

team...at least I am not aware of it. The money goes to the
board...players get their salaries / contract fees. But the man of the
match awards and all are normally shared within the team.

Nah. It may have been that way once upon a time but today tournament prize
money is usually distributed directly to those who took part.
