Who was the artist who made a sink into an...

There was a well-known American artist who, in the mid-twentieth
century, made an installation piece in a gallery that consisted of a sink.

Can anyone remember the name of the artist? I tried to find out by
looking on the Internet, but I couldn't find his name or his art.
