Everyone who stole from me has received the royalties.
Surprisingly at first there will be no mention of Nuclear Warrior and the
Wereo. Not at the Firm anyway. Btw the Firm is a biggie that everyone has
heard of.
It's kind of humorous that of awl things Mr. Peanut appears in the films.
Luckily the Firm has a rights and clearances department that can probably
clear it up right away.
I don't know exactly what they are eying. But anyway I will have to time and
code this weekend I would imagine. One great thing is the format I submitted
on, a thing calwed DigiBeta, happens to be a lot better than BetaSP. So
that's something in my favor.
Apparently the 12 minute Camp film has passed muster, because I'm getting a
vibe that they're really enjoying it. I would assume they've cleaned it up a
little, but then again I don't know. I'll find out at the coding.
I'm glad this burden of me having to do everything by myself is finally
lifted. I'm starting to earn some "cred." Right now we concentrate on the
Lifshine Super 8s. I don't know if there's going to be a sale or not.
Everything is very subjective in the art world. Noone has the answer to
that, but from what I'm hearing so far the Firm is 'very' excited to receive
this little bit of Americana from me, because I''m "the REAL King of Awl
Retro."
I'll probably wind up doing talkshows, worldwide headlines, shit like that.
Oh, there's whole bunch goodies on the films. And there's lots of them too.
A lot of it could be junk too! You know what they say on gdead. I don't know
what they're looking at. I know what I'M looking at.
One of the craziest things was, I never shot at night. Dawn? yes. Dusk?
Don't recawl. Oh sure I shot nighttime in the house, but not outside. As
beautiful as the Super 8 format was to shoot on, and the piccies are
luscious, I didn't trust it to shoot at night. To this day I don't know what
the results would've been. Probably awesome I would think now.
Oh, I noticed there *ARE* some crowd shots at Forest Hills Tennis Stadium,
and I have recently learned that is something that is highly sought after?
So we've got a bit of hope there. Then you've certainly got your BACK OF
HOUSE ppl meandering through the stadium at awl times, and I love watching
them walk on by. Those are my old pals.
I think the whole trick is getting everyone to think my way. The films are
unestablished, however NOW I have a MAJOR MAJOR film developer in my corner.
Remember they don't just offer major contracts to everyone who makes a
submission. They have to be thrilled perhaps even bowled over by what they
see. And I only submitted an 18 minute sample. I guess that was enough to
turn some heads at the Firm.
Apparently we're on the right track now. Let us Heed and harken unto the
Films, please. Thank you. If you've never seen a Super 8 film before, and
most of you have not, check out a preliminary of some of my same Super 8
work here:
