Hi Gang,
I'm just back from a fabulous day in Galveston, Texas spent with Jim
Casey and his lovely wife. I went to their house, and ooohed and aahed
over the gorgeous woodwork.... and visited.
Then Jim took me to an amazing restaurant and we got food and went and
ate it on the beach.
He rode in my truck, with the three dogs, and I got a tour of the
island.
I'm loving Galveston! Next time I got there it'll be for a longer
period of time.

I'm glad you enjoyed it. I did. The weather was about as good as it
gets (apologies to those of you in the Frozen North). And Hunter's dogs
are sweethearts, even if I'm allergic to at least one of them.
(Pseudoephedrine works wonders.)

Me, Maureen, me!
I didn't see the series but if you and Hunter liked it, I think I would too.
It's wonderful. If you liked mini series like Rich Man, Poor Man...
you'll like it.

Hunter
You mean it's not set in the Civil War period?

I like the topic - I like Civil War stuff. I've listened to "Killer Angels"
3 times.

They are yours Mikki.....if you are a "Gone with the Wind" fan and
love Patrick Swazye and enjoy a good long mini-series you will enjoy
it. Send me your address and I'll send them to you when I pick them
up after my next trip to my house on the Cape.
I'm sorry Hunter....I thought you had said VCR, my mistake.... my
kids gave me the CD set a few years ago.
It's a good mini-series...though I'm on the "winning side" LOL.
Maureen
P.S. My nephew is doing really well...in first grade by way of
computer from home. He is 7 years old now. How are things on your end? |
