The Indian team picked for the 1st two ODOs against the Aussies does
not have a single player from the 4 southern states.
In addition, bowling coach Prasad and fielding coach Robin Singh have
been fired from their respective positions.
Also, there is only one player from East, and that too from Zarkhand
which is hardly an eastern state.

Awww come on Sanjiv, I honestly didn't expect this from you. I was
being light hearted with my comment...I know u (from your posts)
better than to take cheap digs at you.
Don't you think I'd think they were *more* Indian and not less?
Especially the teams that contained 6 from Karnataka? (Has that
happened BTW?)
It was in 96 during the SA-Aus-Ind tri-series when Vishy was the chief
selector...
He wasn't. Vishy's term as selector ended in mid-1996.
Quote: he stuffed in Sujith Somasunder, Rahul Dravid, Vijay
Bharadwaj (not sure), Sunil Joshi, Anil Kumble, Javagal Srinath, and
Venkatesh Prasad in the playing 11
During Vishy's term as selector, the Karnataka players that he
selected for the Indian team included Srinath, Kumble, Prasad, Dravid
and Joshi.

It is only fair that players from other zones get a go. South Indian
fans have just enjoyed watching two of their teams taking part in an
excellent tournament. I don't think they care too much for this 7-
match series.
