(NY Daily News) - Bring together four willful, and
distinct, songwriters and you either wind up with a brawl
or a windfall.
Happily, the ill-named Monsters of Folk landed squarely in
the latter category.
Their debut CD (Amazon.com: http://xrl.us/MonstersFolk )
corrals a quartet of today's smartest, neo-sensitive singer-
songwriters, including Jim James (of My Morning Jacket),
Conor Oberst (of Bright Eyes), Mike Moggis (who has worked
with Oberst and stands as one of indie-rock's most wanted
producers) and M. Ward (who largely toils by himself)..
