Adams' City Noir (AGAIN!)...

Hello again,

I know, it seems like I'm always hitting up you people for free music.
What can I say - I love contemporary music! When I hear an exciting
new piece, I just HAVE to have it.

As was the case last night, when I listened to Gustavo Dudamel's
inaugural concert with the LA Philharmonic. John Adams' latest work,
'City Noir' - a symphonic homage to Los Angeles - was on the program.
I tuned in a bit late and was only able to catch the tail end of the
piece, but all I can say is WOW! John Adams is one of those rare
composers who continually outdoes himself. I just get more and more
impressed with his music with every premiere.

I tried to record the concert myself, using StreamRipper, but the damn
thing didn't work properly. SO, I was wondering if anyone had a
recording of the concert, or just 'City Noir'. It'll be AGES before
it's ever released on CD, so I'm pretty eager to hear it again!

It would also be great to have another recent Adams work, 'Son of
Chamber Symphony' - if anyone has it. But I think I'm pushing it at
this point.

Also, see my earlier post about Lindberg's 'EXPO', recently premiered
by the NY Philharmonic. Recording, anyone???

Thank you for your assistance. If you like, I have plenty recordings
of new pieces that I'd be glad to share in return.
