Hey, does anyone know of a US or other source of the Senko Hanabi
sparklers that come on a stick (probly Japanese made)? We have the
Chinese twisted paper variety like these: http://www.skylighter.com/senko-hanabi-sparklers.html,
but I'd like to get the others in stock, too. Thanks in advance.

Hi Harry;

I think you will have to look for an importer of Hanabi. Wolverine
imports but I sure bet they don't put sparklers in thier container.
Maybe some of the larger eastern companies that can afford larger
better quality shells-Atlas, Zambelli's, and so on. Fireart use to,
but not anymore.

Maybe try Austin out of Wichita, KS

Harry, here is a wholesaler ofJapanese consumer fireworks in Japan:

http://translate.googleusercontent.com/translate_c?hl=en&sl=ja&u=http...

How's that for a URL?  There are a number of Japanese firms selling
the pine charcoal senko hanabi sparklers.  Some are hand made
"boutique" items packed in a small (expensive) wooden box for gift
giving.  They are revered for special occasions.  Other shops sell
them in std. issue paper packing.  If you Google "toy fireworks,
Japan" or better yet, use the Google translator feature to convert the
English "toy fireworks" into the Japanese characters and copy and
paste that into the Google search engine, you'll get anumber of
outlets and a few manufacturers.  The Japanese call the small consumer
fireworks (our old class C) "toy fireworks".
