That's quite a ride... road surface seems good...no potholes. Good place for
a senior with a MotoGuzzler.
Up here the ambulances are a provincial responsibility so you're covered all
over the province.

Well, the potential lack of ambulances is not good. That means we, my
brothers and I, will have to keep the rubber side down next year. Any
word on whether there will be no cops?

You had mentioned the Tail of the Dragon before our trip to Maine last
month. I mentioned it to the brother who lives in Winston Salem, and
it is going to be included in next year's trip.

Next year we plan to see the Daniel Boone National Forest in Kentucky,
and then work our way down to the Great Smokey Mountains National Park
and the Tail of the Dragon. Of course, I'll have two Harley's along,
so I'll have to keep the speed down.

There's something unsettleing about using your knees for training wheels.

The pro racers do it all the time. Their suits have knee pads about
the size of hockey pucks attached. The further over they can lean
their bodies, the tighter the corner they can take. If you look
closely, you can see the pads on the rider's knees.

I've never done that, and don't plan to. Usually my toes hit first,
and then the pegs. That's enough.

According to this site: http://www.dealsgap.com/ (in the daily updates
section), the Graham County Rescue Squad will continue to service the
area. Apparently, it's a couple of County Commissioners making noise,
and they have no say in where or what the rescue squad does.

Just be careful.... it is a tough unforgiving stretch of road. Here is
