Subject: Getting ready for bow season
Here in MS, the bow season begins on Oct 1. My son and I have planted
fields and set out feeders to get the deer used to feeding on the
fields. We have to pull the feeders 10 days before season or have
them out of visual sight and more than 100 yds away.
The rains have launched the fields well. The deer are walking on the
fields, but neither eating the plot or from the feeders. Acorns rule
the world just now...lots of nutrition.
We are therefore trail hunters for a while.
