Does not compensate for an Ashes loss.

Rebuild time for the Australians in Test but is there the talent in the up
and coming players in the SS?

It's still to be seen how well England can perform in Australia
against the same team. Their last effort in a similar position, with
perhaps even a better team, wasn't pretty.

notice how much the Aus team has chnaged in the last couple of years?

06/07 is no predictor of the next tour here

Well, obviously. They were beaten 2-1 in a much closer contest. But
they were also similarly beaten in 05 and recovered to trash England
on home soil. Thus, 05 was no indicator for 07. They were beaten by
Sth Africa but returned the favour a few months later, with this
current team.

The days of absolute domination from Australia are over for a while
and it's no hope trying to wish them back by chopping and changing the
squad, or vast overhauls after every narrow defeat.

The selectors have identified the core of the best players available
but it will take time for them to grow, IMO.
