| amazing how sites can change. I have dived sites many time and had a
| different experience each time.

| Lucky snorkelers sounds like they got a bonus on this outing

No tourists this trip, just a mate that had not been in the water in years.
A number of years ago he was stabbed numerous times and evaced to Cairns
where he died amongst other complications. The blood loss etc.. made him
almost blind so he could see only shadows in the water. no colour and all
the refracted light made it so he couldn't see anything. Last year he had an
operation that restored sight to one eye, he had forgotten what the reef was
like and was pleasantly surprised when he found that he could enjoy it all
again.
I don't think I'll have as much trouble getting him to go next time.

For someone who died, he sounds remarkably healthy. |
