does anyone know? Is this the first recorded version? It has been
remastered, or cleaned up quite a bit - not here - but on the CD you

The words were written by Yeats & it's also known as "Wandering Angus". It
was recorded several times in the 50's but It's hard to say who had the
first recorded version set to music. In the US, it was probably Burl Ives.
