When Disney's G-Force (3D) started, I noticed that the image didn't
fill the screen from top-to-bottom, even though it also didn't use the
full width of the screen, with masking filling in the sides. At first
I thought that the projectionist may have set things up wrong. But
then I noticed that certain scenes with bubbles, water splashes,
flying debris, etc. had those things actually appearing in the black
bands. This did slightly increase the 3D effect, which I suppose is
what was intended. However, I don't think the added 3D effect was
worth having a smaller image for the entire movie. What do you other
readers think? |
