Being an incorrigible optimist I clicked on
thje above link, and sure enough my
Firefox has crushed. I hope that my
comp didn't get any viruses but it has
to be seen.

It worked fine for me. Gianluca's applet is pretty good, better than
Sanny's as I recall.

Mine worked as well - and I have Firefox. I just won a common or
garden French Defence Bxh7+ variation. But the interface is far better
than Sanny's - miles better - and the speed is almost 1000 times
quicker.

This is a great one, very elegant user
interface. It plays decent chess instantly
for most of the moves (it slows down when
it gets a difficult position; and so do I ;-)

To compare this applet with GetgClub is
not just to this infinitely better applet. it even
shows you the captured pieces taken off the
board -- they show up next to the board.

I tested this applet on computer which
doesn't belong to me. I tried it on mine
again too. This time there was no crash,
but the board didn't show up. There might
be some extra protection on mine Version
10.4.11 of Mac OS X.

Thank you, Gianluca, best regards,

Wlod

Thank you Wlod!
I show only the imbalance of the captured pieces and if one side is for
example 2 pawns ahead I draw a pawn and the number 2 beside to let the
side of the board much clean as possible.
Have you installed Java on your Mac?
