2009 marks the 15th occurrence of the event once known as the RMC-BBQ--once
upon a time a chance for a Usenet rec.music group to meet face-to-face at
the cool Christian music festival in the middle of cornfields. All hail
early adopters and up-to-date netizens.
Yep, that face-to-face gathering of online music fans is back. It's still a
great opportunity for you to socialize with a whole lot of other
like-minded folks from throughout the States, Canada, and the rest of the
world in a nice, shady spot over lunch. Celebrities & free stuff & running
jokes abound. Prepare for conversation and great food! Newbies, or
veterans, ALL are welcome at Version 15.

Although originally designed as a place for usenet newsgroup
rec.music.christian (R.M.C.) regulars to meet face-to-face, participation
has grown to include many like-minded email lists which have kept the
free-wheeling spirit of R.M.C. alive in these changing technological times.
We send this to all the cool music lists we can find: Over the Rhine's
forum (you-all are still planning to be there, right???, DADL, OOG, Lost
Dogs, 77s, Struggleville, the Christian Music List, Phil Keaggy (we're
always bummed he's not playing, too.), etc. Facebook, anyone?
Menu: BBQ. Realsimmer-all night BBQ sandwiches--with all the fixings and
cake for desert.
Donations are very welcome to cover the cost, and don't forget to bring
something for the literature/tape/CD exchange. In the spirit of the
original hippies and Jesus people, this is your chance to exchange your
unwanted books, music magazines, CD's, music T-shirts, etc. for someone
else's, no charge.
As always, we'll have name tags, perhaps some awards, maybe some
celebrities, you, and many, many other members of the Christian music
online community.

where you are traveling from, and how you heard about the BBQ. We'll send
