I have read about this surgery, I think you mean High Tibial Osteotomy
(HTO) in which the surgeons try to correct the bow as it causes injury
for runners esp. in the inner side of their ankles and outer side of
their knees. I am bow-legged too and I have consulted with my doctor,
yet I am not yet determined to do the operation. In my opinion the
best way is to ask your doctor if you can restart running or if you
need to do some physiotherapy before hand.
