I bought a big bag of roasted-in-the-shells peanuts the other day.
A friend, it turns out, won't eat the resultant yummy peanuts until he's
taken off the skins.
Does anybody here have, or know someone who has, that quirk?
It's a new one on me. Now, I don't *seek out* peanuts with skins; I think
those are mostly "spanish peanuts" in the world of canned nuts, and I
usually buy other kinds (usually dry-roasted), but when I do encounter
them I don't have undress every one of them. :)

I take the skins off as they can be bitter. And so does my cat, who
loves to steal the peanuts and chew the shells until he gets the
kernel out.

Yep. Seen it. I laughed my ass off to the point the other eater wouldn't
eat any more.
But hey, that's just me.

Nicely done! (more peanuts for you)
"Spanish peanuts" make really good peanut butter. It's a little gritty
from the skins, but I like that.
