Frieda in HOT South Carolina.
Due to 2 big, white cats, the bird population in my back yard has
dropped greatly.

Robert in northern Alabama. Since a hawk flew near the bird feeders,

I've seem maybe one grackle here. There seem to be a number of
small birds - perhaps juvenile sparrows - that aren't as eager to fly
away if you approach the feeders, though. A few finches, including
a goldfinch; a few cardinals; and a few bluejays. I've heard reports
of a fox or coyote showing up, but only after it's too dark for the
daytime birds to notice.

The hummers are still on my large PP feeder 4 at a time. One fill (48
ounces) is good for about 30 hours.

Rick in Fargo, about all we have left are Pine Siskins, Am. Gold

finches,House Sparrows, House Finches, Chickadee and a pair of Hairy
Woodpeckers and a Brown Thrasher. Waiting now for the Fall migration to
bring more birds. We leave Thursday for a three day workshop on
shorebirds run by a guy who says "a minute do watching birds is a minute
wasted". It should be interesting.
