I guess this would be a good moment to make a bargain buy of Storch

I love how this article blames his Marijuana use?!?! Yep...
marijunana is known to make it's users appear 'thin and gaunt." Just
look at Ben and Jerry!!!
The sad (no funny actually) thing is that while Storch sold his
musical soul to make soulless music - he has all of a sudden been
eclipsed by producers who stayed pretty true to their roots,
rhythmically. Artists like Kanye and Mark Ronson may not be this
areas favorites - but they still make hip hop beats... and didn't see
the need to switch over to pop pablum in order to party with the
glitterati.
In fact the beats on Carter 3 are closer to "Illadelph Halflife" than
anything Storch has done since the 90s. If he had just stuck to his
guns, he may have hasd a career.

Would they take him back?? Has he had his OKPLAYER Guava eating card
pulled yet? The million dollar beats aren't the bad thing... I think
the coked out deadbeat dad image might not vibe wih the whole (foods)
Soulquarian thing.
Pity though... because I have a nostalgic soft spot for ORGANIX and
"DYMW?/From the Ground Up" and his keyboards really did give them
their signature sound. |

lol. good point.
storch's case is similar to MC Hammer's. it's just expenses exceeding
revenues. if you make $20 million, but spend $21 million on mansions,
cars, helicopters, parasitic "homie" entourages, etc. then you end up $1
milllion in debt.
and you don't need weed to do that.

From his wikipedia page:
"Storch is well-known for wearing ostentatious diamond jewelry and a
collection of exotic sports cars. However, he prefers a relatively low

LOL.
ON a related note - How does child support work? Is it money taht goes
to a childs education, or is it a free handout to babymama? |

depends. if it's your average dude making $40,000 a year and paying
$500 a month, it's almost all going to the child's education.
but when it's a big star paying $15,000 a month, 90% of it is a free
handout to babymamma, because studies show that it costs about $1500 a
month to adequately provide for a child. |

nope, no matter how much it is it goes to the other parent. The
courts don't monitor what the money is spent on.

i know. heck it's not like the 3-year old can spend money. but if they
are paying $500 or so a month to the mother, it's PROBABLY the case
that the great bulk of it is being spent by the mother on the child,
because that is within the range of how much it costs to raise a
child. |

You must live in an area where the cost of living is extraordinarily
low. $1500 huh? During the winter months, I spend $500 each month on
home heating oil alone. I guess heat and hot water are not
necessities for a child to live "adequately".
$1500 is only adequate if the kids are in public school and you're
lucky enough to not need to pay for child care after school and you're
all living together in a tiny 1 bdrm apartment (where utilities are
included....which you cannot even get on LI for $1500 a month) w/ kids
on the pull out couch like the Evans family from an episode of Good
Times.
I want to know exactly where these studies were conducted. I ask
because parents making $1500 a month here (NY) qualify for section 8,
WIC and a host of other forms of welfare assistance. I looked into
Cali over the summer re: jobs, salaries, cost of living etc. $1500 a
month doesn't go very far there either.
And big stars typically live in either Cali or NY. $15000 a month is
not a free handout to baby mama in either of those places if babymama
also has to cover **ALL** of the living expenses out of that $15,000. |

There are lots of "child rearing calculators" on the net, most by
respectable organizations. Obviously, the cost of living varies by
area, so you plug that info into the formula.
This one says that if you are being raised in the Northeast, the cost
of raising a kid to age 18, PLUS send them to a public university
(which technically no parent is obligated to do) is $340,000. Or
approximately $1575 a month:

Don't confuse a parent "making $1500 a month" with spending $1500 a
month on the care of a child. Obviously, a parent would have to make
more than that to take care of other children and themselves as well.
But they child support payment is supposed to be for that ONE child,
not to support babymamma and her other kids too.

They obviously are not factoring in the cost of keeping a roof over
that child's head. $1575 doesn't even cover rent in many areas of
NY.
That baby mama living off child support is a joke and complete myth.
"Baby mamas" (in NY at least) ain't laying up at home living off a
child support check. The only one's that can afford to do that are
the young one's that are still living at home w/ their mother's or
grandmothers. The one's that are on their own work and are probably
struggling to get by financially.

I live in a house and I'm calling the light company tomorrow and tell
them that I'm paying the light bill in only one bedroom this month.
I'd like to see what they tell me. Next, I'm calling the oil company
and telling them the same thing. I only want to pay for heat in one
room. Not the whole house.....just one room. I wonder if that will
work w/ the mortgage, too? |

I'm not confusing earning $1500 w/ spending $1500. I had the
impression that you were trying to imply that a child support payment
of $1500 was enough to keep up a "baby mama and her other kids too."
If so, I say that it's not. Even a single person w/ no kids would be
extremely hard pressed to get by here on just $1500 a month. Never
mind a single parent. People who make that type of money here either
still live at home or share w/ a bunch of roommates or if they have
kids, are on some type of public assistance.
So, if she can't live off $1500 a month and therefore has to have
another source of income besides that child support, how can you claim
that you are supporting her and her other kids? |
