He and I "got in to it" the other day and I have not felt good about
that since.
I don't know for sure if I was in a bad mood, or he has an irritating
writing style or what (and I have no interest in trying to get a final
answer to that--and will kill-file attempts to pursue that--I don't have
enough time left for that).
But I did try (so far unsuccessfully) to figure out who he is--best
guess is school teacher or social worker. (See below, those may be
avocations.)
But the reason I write this is that his web site
http://web.newsguy.com/floyd_davidson/
has some really nice photography and some written material ("editorials"
and such) that I have yet to look at. (There is some scientific-looking
stuff whose purpose and function I can only guess-at, so he maybe a
geologist or programmer or something.)
Anyway, if I erred, I apologize but mostly I want to look forward and
(in this context) get back to birding.

which would be ironic--in another life I worked (Toll Transmissionman)
with telephone engineers on things like VNL, ERL, and such.
