You think that's good?

My 11 year old son got DEACQUIRES in our game the other night.

Okay, he only put down the "DE" but not bad = 44 points for 2 letters.

;).

Which dictionary has he been reading? onelook.com says:

"Sorry, no dictionaries indexed in the selected category contain the
word deacquire. Perhaps you meant: decalquer (found in 1
dictionary)"

(I had selected "Search all dictionaries".)

But thanks for the feedback - and nexrt time how about listing *all*
the words on your board?
We ain't talkin' anomalies here!

Not in my edition of Chambers either. Still if it looks enough like
a word you may strike lucky and no-one will challenge.

Hate to break it to you, but that's not a valid play.

If you add a P and an S, it's an anagram for the valid QUADRICEPSES
(synonym for QUADRICEPS)

And if you drop the D, it's an anagram for the valid ACQUIREES.

Not in my club, you won't. To score points, you have to make a good
word. Much like all other sport and gaming competition. And as
intended by the free challenge rule, which was in effect from
Scrabble's introduction in 1948 until some idiot changed the
challenge rule in 1976, thereby turning Scrabble into a barroom
bluff game.
