Watched a few movies this weekend. Some were new to me, some were
repeats.

Best and the worst.....

Best...
1) Transformers. This was a repeat, but I thought that for the genre
of cartoon/comic book turned into a live action film, this was one of
the best. Shia Lebouef is cute, btw. IMDB says that he only got paid
$500,000 for Transformers. They ripped him off, methinks. He should
have gotten more.

2) Spiderman 3. I liked all three Spidermans, but if I had to rank
them, I'd still keep them in the same order in which they came out. I
just wish that they'd cast someone other than Kirsten Dunst for MJ. I
can't even put my finger on why I don't like her in this movie. I
just don't.

3) The Holiday. Very sweet and Jack Black is not a complete moron in
it. He's actually quite normal. That's the first time in a while
that I've seen him in something normal. Jude Law is adorable, as
always.

Worst....
1) The Hulk. stinker. Especially when watched alongside
Transformers and Spiderman.

2) Superman Returns. big stinker. didn't even finish it. had me
snoring within the first 20 minutes.

So just flipped to A&E and "Crank: Made in America" is on. What a
coincidence? I came into it in the middle but they showed a serious
of pictures of a woman addicted to meth over a 10 yr period. The
speeding up of the aging process that they're showing is enough to
make me never want to touch the stuff. It's not a media scare tactic
either. Meth is actuall a bit of an issue here on LI on and most of
those folks really do look like shit.

Funny how my "scared straight" is completely vanity based. Telling me
that something will make me look older than I really am sends me
running in the other direction.

"Intervention" is on now. It's a documentary/reality series about
people struggling w/ various addictions. Today's episode is Jill/
alcoholism.

Spiderman 1 - very good
Spiderman 2 - great
Spiderman 3 - sucks

I'm assuming you actually meant The Hulk, not the newer The
Incredible Hulk?

Hell yeah, this was a huge waste of time. Why was it called Superman
Returns when it was for the most part a poor remake of Superman 1?

It was so bad, it was worse than Superman 4, which featured this guy
as the main villain:

You thought 3 sucked? I thought it was good. Not as good as the
first 2, but still good.

Speaking of Spiderman, I watched the sat. morn. cartoon version that
comes on CW11 today, also. It was ok. I'm not sure if "die hard
comic fans" would endorse it, though.

Yes. I haven't seen the new one. I'm a little behind w/ movies. Did
it come out, already?

I haven't even seen Sex and the City yet. Really wanted to, though.
I saw a news blurb that showed women getting dresses up in day dresses
and high heels to go to see the movie. (you would have to have seen
the show to understand the signifigance of the outfit.)

Now, I'm off to watch "Superbad" on Starz. I saw some previews for
this. It's looks funny.

Sex and the City: mochaspresso, were you a big SATC fan? If so, like
me, it's the movie for you. The ending, which I won't spoil, isn't
amazing, but it's great to catch up with the girls after all this
time, and the beginning and middle parts are thoroughly enjoyable. I
hope they leave it at that, though. I've had my payoff now, I don't
want the much-speculated sequel.

I was a big fan of the show. I really want to see it. It must have a
good storyline because no one that I've talked to about it wants to
give away the ending.

The Happening: I thought this was a decent movie in itself but the
ending isn't up to scratch.

That's pure M. Night Shaymalan. I've felt the same way about most of
his movies and haven't liked an ending since the Sixth Sense.

unbreakable is one of the dopest samuel jackson flicks ever...

shit, im going to fire up the plasma right now and peep it... Smile
