I blocked a site from sending some kind of blasted shit to me... but
now on startup I get 3-5 boxes that say
"Runtime Type Mismatch Error at 13 and 'Aplicacion.'
Anyone know how to stop this, remove the startup file.
Will it hurt the comp?
Things seem fine. |

Things seem fine.
hmm... no idea, but if i had to guess, i'd say that some malware was
attempting to do some stuff at start up and that it encountered an error
that it couldn't handle. e.g., maybe it tried to phone home to the site
you blocked and chocked when it couldn't. but that's a complete shot in
the dark.
this is a tool that lets you see (and disable) stuff that runs at startup:

be careful though, there's stuff that you need to run at startup that
you might not recognize.
i think i could get you a free copy of spysweeper, if you want. not
sure it'll help, but this definitely sounds like some malware installed
itself, so it could be worth a try. |
