Hello
I just purchased a Polar F5 Heart Rate Monitor. I have configured it
but I have a slight problem:
When I see my heart rate it remains around 65-67bpm, but occasionally
it spikes to around 120, for a second, and then goes back down.
What does this mean, am I a super hero? Or, alternatively, is it
telling me something else?
Thanks

I've found that my Polar HRMs will occasionally spike
(although 120 isn't much of a spike) when 1) there's poor
skin contact, or 2) I'm near a power line.

my guess is that it is not displaying % because it goes over 100,
unless you didnt do the fiteness test correctly when you first got it
to determine your mhr. Maybe read the book, check the back of the
book for this problem.
is it displaying % like at this link http://www.heartmonitors.com/polar/polar_f5_heart_rate_monitors.htm
also wet the chest strap, or your body, the electrodes dont work
properly without monisture, mine dioesnt have that problem becuase i
use it every day it never gets dry. |
