I bought a new 12ga Stoeger Coach Gun 5-30-08 and was well pleased
with the gun. I did however email a question the next day through the
Stoeger website to their "customer service" and as of 6-21-08 no
answer. However the Benelli "customer service" sent a email 6-2-08
welcoming "my request" to be put on their email list. My response was
"no request for email but (add original request of Stoeger)" and again
as of 6-21-08 no answer from Benelli.
Evidently Benelli aka Stoeger has no "customer service" and I will
assume this gun is disposable should a problem arise! It was cheap at
least.
I chose Stoeger in lieu of the Remington SPR because I didn't need a
Russian or Chinese mfg. We don't have any friends there.
Hell, firearms and ammo are one of the few things still made in the
USA. Well, other than prostitutes and beer The pickens are slim. BSA
and Bushnell scopes are direct from the chinaman.
Hey did ya see homeland defense is buying the pipe for the Mexico
border fence from China...
Getting off my soap box

Why assume that? I would assume that email isn't the way to contact Benelli
customer service. Do a web search for a phone number.

Unless Stoeger has changed suppliers, I think you'll find your new
shotgun was made in Brazil. No side by sides are made in the US and
haven't been for decades. Even Savage/Stevens bailed out of that
market and went to imports. IGA used to be Stoeger's supplier, might
still be, and Gun Parts/Numrich carries what parts there are for IGAs.

At the Stoeger site, look under FAQ and call the customer service number
listed there. I didn't have any trouble getting through when I needed to
talk to them.

I said in my original post that to my understanding Benelli bought IGA

and supplied Stoeger. I appreciate the info on parts. Thanks

Haven't seen a Ruger side by side, although I do see them on their
site. Must be a really low production item, which is the reason the
rest of the US makers got out of the market. One of the recent Gun
Digests had an article on the decline of the American double, it
started with the advent of the Win '97 and went down from there.
