Time-Warner corporate is dropping usenet news as of June 23, 2008.

Please help by asking them to keep it. The person to call works for the TW president:

If it meant retards like you wouldn't be able to spam us any more,
I'd pay extra for a usenet without Time-Warner on it.

Perhaps another benefit would be I wouldn't get to read pointless messages
from jackasses like yourself. Who put a burr up your butt?

If that's the only way you can avoid reading my posts, then
frankly, you need a keeper. Seriously. Learn some self control.

I've seen many spams and this isn't one of them. The poster is raising a

legitimate concern about our access to Usenet and you choose to attack him.
How long do you think it will be before that misguided government idiot will
realize that Time Warner dropping Usenet won't stop child porn. Then he'll
start attacking other avenues to Usenet and eventually find some way to kill
it entirely. For myself, I'm glad someone is trying to stop the bastard
and, for however little it did, I sent my email already.

It was a) off topic, and b) posted to a bunch of groups, in all of
which it was off topic. It's spam.

In a place where it doesn't belong. Get over it.

Nor will it stop usenet, dumbass.

Or not. Time Warner (and most large ISPs) have been looking for a
way to drop usenet for years, since it costs a lot to offer the
service, and very few of their users even know what it is, much
less how to use it.

Companies that sell usenet service will simply ignore such nonsense
until lawyers are involved, and the lawyers on _both_ sides will
start off with a detailed explanation of the safe harbor provisions
of federal law.

The only way an ISP (or news service) can be made legally
responsible for child porn on usenet is if they *try to remove it*.

You should be glad that stupidity isn't a capital crime. I'm sure

Time Warner gives a shit. No, really.

I pay $3/month for usenet service. All groups, more bandwidth than
I've *ever* come close to using, and first rate service. If you
can't afford one less Big Mac every other month, you don't belong
in the internet.
