I just read on the NOMAD site (www.nomadfest.org)
that there will be no NOMAD festival in 2008, due to
an insufficient number of people to organize and run it.
I'm quite sorry to read this, as of the 3 weekend dance
festivals I've been to (Dance Flurry, NOMAD, and NEFFA),
I thought NOMAD was the nicest. (It being less than 2
hours' drive from my home helped, too.  )
It's an all-volunteer festival, and I gather that those who
organize it don't have time to actually attend any of the
sessions, which may have lead to some burn-out.
On a related note: does anyone know if there are any
photos on-line from the 2007 festival? (There were
an _awful_ lot of photographers running around there.) |
