For anyone who can make it, Jean Renoir's 40-minute(?) movie will show at the
Harvard Film Archive on Quincy St. at 7 p.m., Monday, Aug. 2. It's part of a
double feature. The other movie is the very long silent tragedy "Nana" by Emile
Zola - also directed by Renoir.
Lenona.
P.S. If you ever get a chance, see the 1980s Russian-style musical stage
version on video starring Monica McSwain. (She was a singer in "American Pie"!)
A little too grim for kids under ten, though. |
