Just a quick reminder, this weekend's Foosapalooza tournament in
Calgary (Alberta, Canada, 7-9 April, 2006) is also an ITSF-sanctioned
points-race event. This is another good chance to grab up those world
rankings points towards expense-paid trips to Italy in November (see
Boris's separate post on ITSF World Rankings), especially for those
players living in the Northwest and Northern USA (Canada too!). If you
are presently in ITSF's top 200 in Mens or Women's Singles, you
definitely still have a shot at finishing among the qualifiers for
Italy by attending as many of these events as possible (others this
year include Costa Rica, Kentucky State, Minnesota State, the Canadian
Multi-Table, Tornado Worlds, the Monterrey Mexico Multi-Table, and the
Bart O'Hearn, among others). Further, being held at the Olympic Oval
and on Tornado tables, this tournament's venue will also be of value in
supporting the image of table soccer as a professional sport.
