It was a phenomenal 25-yard strike on a rope from almost a standing
position. He then followed it up by perfectly assisting a Samuel Eto'o
goal a minute later.

So I hear. Apparently there was no run-up or anything, he just stood, hit
it, and it went in. Need a link!!!

Clearly, this is further proof of the Grand Conspiracy to steal the
title away from God's Own Football Team(tm).

Valencia 0 - 2 Barcelona FT

Wow. I was absolutely convinced that Barca were going to drop points
today. Now I'm starting to believe.

About time Barca won the title, they deserved it, been at the top all
season. As for Real, since they got rid of Del Bosque (who was a servant
to the club, didn't deserve the sort of treatment he got) and Hierro,
they've been making one bad decision after another. The latest being the
treatment Figo's receiving. His contract runs out in a few months time,
so why not frop him from the team now. I hope he comes back and haunts
them just like Morientes did.

Yup, that first goal was sheer class; no run up to the ball, just a straight
shot.

Am a few days late with this as I dubbed the game and am watching it now.
Ronnie's assist to Samuel Eto'o for Barca's 2nd goal also deserves a
mention, as the former turned two Valencia players around the center circle
before laying it off to Eto'o.

Great game so far with tons of atmosphere.
