Chirac Chastises the US for Cultural Imperialism.

.... wait for it... this is good...

IN VIETNAM!

Yes. That's right. A former French frigg'n colony conquered by force of arms! LOL!

So why do ANY Vietnamese speak French? Or why does central Africa?

Is that not so deliciously ironic that it makes you want to PUKE.

What is even funnier is that Kerry thinks of them as a traditional ally.

I just watched an interview with Joe Lockhart and Mike McCurry, 2 of Kerry's
"advisors". Their spin on the French taking bribes is that it didn't make
any difference and that France undermined us on Iraq only because of Bush.
Not because of the dough and the crooked deals. ;^)

Enough of this French bashing. The food is good. The wine is good.
The art is good. The chicks are easy. What more do you want?

I really think this attitude is unconscious on the part of the French.
They mean well; they really don't understand how they piss others off
with that ingrained snotty air.

Look it's fairly simple.
They really do think they're the chosen people...

chosen, to look snotty and a bit patronizingly at others.

No need to dwell- it's just that when they bribed a megalomanic like
Hussein, and keep the children not fed, but dead- it should have given
them pause...

They were primarily responsible for keeping the utterly corrupt engine of
oil commerce alive for themselves with him, with promise for more.
Giving Hussein the impression that they could prevent sanctions from
working - and that's the oil greed we're really seeing in that arena,
Europe's, without so much as a sense of shame over the ... faux pas of
vast massive bribing of a tyrant- at the expense of his own, and their
own, and our own- well

it's just that snobbery ought to give way to some sense of shame. Some
sense of frank honesty about their failure- which was massive. Massive.

How do you say, massive failure and deception, in French anyway?

How much was stolen by this 'family of nations' while the peace hung in
the balance? 11 billion to Hussein, and how much to the 'family of
nations'??

And they ignore it with such.... what's the word
Brio?

I was in Paris just a few months ago. Amazing city. I didn't see any of the
famed parisian rudeness except for a this one person who thought I was an
American.

He just didn't realise your nose could get that size
and shape from sticking a blowpipe full of drugs up
it, that's all.
