In 1871,
English = 49.7%
Non English (just from UK) = 50.3%
Conveniently, you forgot to post numbers for 1871 or chose not to, you
scheming biatch!

ps: btw i am not going to lie like you..the link does suggest
following numbers too:
English Scottish Irish Welsh
1800–40 62.1% 20.4% 15.6% 1.6%
1840–52 64.7% 20.6% 13.6% 1.1%
But look at the below too:
English Scottish Irish Welsh
1853-70 47.7% 30.2% 21.4% 1.1%
Auckland 45.8% 17.6% 35.9%

Clearly, the numbers are not even remotely close to what you
suggested...the scots and irish(esp. after potato famine of 1845) are
overpowering the English at various points of time.
The actual numbers would depend on the no. of migrants at this time,
but the irish are known to emigrate in huge huge numbers to USA and
Aus/NZ especially to urban centers after 1845.
You could have made your point about more English immigration in a
proper manner. But you chose to belittle me by means of posting census
at 50 yrs intervals...what a genius i must say!
And you never know...the "backward" scots/irish(as per the English)
would have reproduced more than the "refined" English in the period
till 1945 which still makes my theory of more non-english name
origins in cricket team/entertainment field/politics
